Homahota Consulting LLC is a Native American woman owned company that brings PhD level education and experience to the unique challenges of working in Indian country. We offer culturally competent policy analysis, technical training, research and writing, and grant writing and grant management to tribes, tribal, city, state and county agencies, non-profits, small businesses working with tribes.
The need for Culturally Competent training for people working in Indian country is well documented. In the 2008
Arizona Indian Town Hall report, participants identified this as a primary need for organizations working with tribes. Participants stated that cultural sensitivity training should be given to state agencies, state legislature, county officials, developers and contractors and that they need to be educated on what it means to be a tribe and that sovereignty matters.
In addition we offer a host of other possibilities including meeting facilitation, partner planning for tribal consultation, community talks, academic lectures, grant writing and grant management, academic research and writing, policy analysis, among others.
